The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining and meeting at The Club. Banquet Captains are responsible for positive interactions while serving members and guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, banquet captains are expected to be attentive to their needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.

Banquet Captains will follow through with proper and timely set-up and execution of banquet events. Set up includes tables, chairs, buffets, and audio-visual equipment. Maintain a high degree of professionalism. Maintain all equipment and facilities in an organized, clean, safe environment.

General Responsibilities

· Assist Dining Room Manager with supervision of banquet staff during event.

· Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) at the beginning of each shift to ensure the room is set as contracted. Confirm and setup A/V equipment needs to contract for the event

· Greet and introduce self to host of each event.

· Prepare rooms for the event

· Be in communication with the Events Coordinators & Banquet Captain/ Dining Room Managers

· Ensure the events are on time

· Ensure proper use, storage and maintenance of all A/V and meeting room equipment

· Maintain health regulations, high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of The Club

· Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guest to Management

· Have rooms in a readiness position for any possible site inspections if no upcoming events are scheduled

· Ensure meeting rooms are re-set for the next event if it is within one day of the previous event

· Provide all guests with a lasting experience of The Club with the intent for return business

· Maintaining proper dining service standards, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses

· Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor

· Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate greeting

· Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently

· Understand and can communicate products and services available at The Club

· Prepare Buffets and Bars when necessary

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
